Human and Computer 2021: User-friendly communication of complex topics

8 September 2021 @ 10:45 - 12:15

At this year’s Mensch und Computer 2021 conference, the Digital Autonomy Hub is offering a thematic block on user-friendly communication of information relevant to data protection, at which the SIMPORT project will be presented alongside the TrUSD.

Communicating data protection and types of data processing is about conveying highly complex topics in a way that is understandable – and above all, acceptable and usable – for the broader society. Often, such an implementation is found in the form of dashboards: clear, understandable, intuitive. But how can these highly complex topics for dashboards be implemented successfully and in a target group-oriented manner? Last but not least, when it comes to personal data and privacy, we are always moving in an area of conflict between ethics and the law – so what must be observed in principle and where do we (still) come up against limits in implementation?

The web talk on Wednesday, September 8 from 10:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. will convey the complex concepts of digital sovereignty.
