21 May 2021 – Online Panel Session in the 29th Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU 29) Design for Change, Oklahoma City, United States

We are conducting a session as a part of CNU 29 on the topic of „Open Cities: Data-driven approaches for citizen- based participatory planning and design“ on 21 May from 11 to 12.15 pm (ET). During the session we present the impact of community knowledge, the role of personal data, and innovative implementations in data collection and processing regarding citizen-based, participatory urbanisation. Then we discuss the benefits created by these aspects, as well as the gaps and privacy risks they caused during the implementation.
The results of the panel will contribute to a better understanding of cross-cultural approaches, priorities, and needs towards data-driven urban development processes.
